Crested Butte Mountain Resort in the Summer
Mt. Crested Butte sits in the middle of the Gunnison Valley, and is surrounded by peak after peak. Mt. Crested Butte is a recreationalist's paradise in the summertime with great views of the surrounding valley, lakes and historic downtown. As you climb to the peak of Mt. Crested Butte, you will get the feeling you are on top of the world.
Whether you are out for a bike ride, a round of disc golf, or a climb to the peak, the Red Lady Express and Silver Queen Lifts allow easy access to the mountain. Look behind you as you ride the lift to see town shrink into what looks like a miniature model.
Mountain bikers love Mt. Crested Butte for its system of downhill trails, aspen groves and lift access. You can take your bike up the lift, or if you are feeling tough, ride the trails up. The trail system is great for riders of all abilities, and will take you across the variety of terrain on the mountain.

A variety of hiking trails meander through the aspen groves and wildflowers of Mt. Crested Butte. Spend the day exploring the nooks and crannies of the mountain, or relax with a picnic lunch along the way. If you hike to the peak, you are sure to get the greatest views of the surrounding valley.

Spend the afternoon playing a game of disc golf with the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. The disc golf course starts at the top of the Red Lady Express Lift, and will lead you back to the base area.
