Summer Adventure Scene - Crested Butte Mountain Resort
This summer, pump up your bike tires and oil the chain to get ready for some racing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The 7th Annual Wildflower Rush is the third stop in the Mountain States Cup and will feature downhill and cross country races. For some friendly competition for beginners and experts, race in the Pinnacle Bike Race Series on Thursday evenings.
June 21-22, 2008: Wildflower Rush Cross Country and Downhill Bike Races
The Wildflower Rush will be the grand finale of the 28th Annual Fat Tire Bike Week. The race features its traditional 10-mile cross-country course, Saturday June 21 on the Butte’s legendary web of winding single track, climbing 1800 feet per lap. The Downhill and Wildflower Super-D races take place Sunday, June 22. Dates are tentative and subject to change.

Thursday evenings (Jul 24 - Aug 7, 2008): Powerade Pinnacle Bike Race Series
The Powerade Pinnacle Summer Bike Race Series is a regional recreational racing series created in 1998 by Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR). The popular race series is geared for fun and competition, from beginner to expert riders, for a total of 12 racing categories. The races consist of varying lengths and difficulty to challenge riders of all abilities on Mt. Crested Butte’s network of trails and quality single-track.
